Lake Turkana, also known as the Jade Sea, is the largest permanent desert lake and the world’s largest alkaline lake by volume. It is located in the northern part of Kenya, bordered by Ethiopia to the north. Lake Turkana stretches over an area of approximately 6,405 square kilometers (2,473 square miles). It is situated in the Great Rift Valley and is surrounded by volcanic rock formations, making it a unique and visually stunning location.
